THIS IS A STORY ABOUT OBSESSION…AND HOW FAR IT CAN TAKE YOU.—
Ciao, this is Rene (I love to think Rene DesCartes) and I first have to let you know that I don’t usually make websites but this time I just couldn’t resist! (ps be a DaRLiNg and ignore my bRoKen English) I have to tell everyone about an amasing movie I have seen!
To make it even more amasing, this is not a tipical movie,it is actually a pop-art film which I have got from a friend and instantly fell in love with it!
Let me get to the point: this is a film ABOUT probably one of the world`s greatest actors KEANU REEVES and a living rock legend ANTHONY KIEDIS from Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Now you probably think: a film about Keanu and Anthony?What?
Hey, it s not what you think – this is even better! Check this out:
What would you say if I told you that the character of Keanu Reeves (yeah, yeah, Neo from The Matrix) was played by BLOND GIRL Nika Politeo? Anthony was played by a WOMAN too - Cleo Dobermann.
Now you`re really confused, right?
Maybe I should have started from THE start.
This pop-art film is called KITESTRAMURT (which I don’t know what it exactly means but I know it is northern italian dialect) and it is about two girls dangerously obsessed with Keanu and Anthony – and about how far the obsession can take you: the girls actually walk, talk and act like Reeves and Kiedis – but they still look feminine! What is the most unbelievable, even though they are girls who don’t even look like them, it`ll take less than 2 minutes and you will recognize Keanu and Kiedis!! Don’t get this wrong, this isnt a parody and it doesn’t look stupid as it seems when you read it written black on white.It has more than a few really shocking scenes - it makes you like OH MY GOD! WOW! Before filming they researched everything they could find about Kiedis and Reeves and tried to get into their minds – I think they made it (as much as possible!) – their performance can really make your jaw hanging on the floor! You know what I mean.
The REAL Keanu and Anthony also show up in this film: they are digitally “taken” from films (My Private Idaho, Devil`s Advocate, Speed, PointBreak, The Matrix…etc.), music videos (Scar Tissue, Under The Bridge, Californication…etc.), TV interviews and all kind of events – the crew has done it so well that it really seems Kiedis and Reeves were a part of it for real!
There are also parts drawn and animated.
The music from Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Dogstar was performed by their friend`s band called Psychic Fetus (or something like that) – I must confess it sounds awsome!
Unfortunately, KITESTRAMURT cant be published “for real” because the authors of this, I `d say , master-piece of pop-art don’t have “ALL RIGHTS RESERVED” – as I have heard from a friend who knows the director of the film, they have done it for fun,for themselves, as a test. It was a challenge to convert two girls into two grown men they admire.They wanted to make a tribute, a hommage to Reeves and Kiedis – and make it just the way it has to be:girls playing roles of men in an amasing way in which it cant be understood insulting (you know, Reeves and Kiedis being ‘girls’ or any kind of wrong impression) They made it – that is my humble opinion.
WHO STANDS BEHIND THE WHOLE PROJECT?
Very few people. Most of credit goes to a 3-member-gang from The Academy Of Fine Arts (on their way to become painters):
Director ALESSANDRO PIRICO (film making is his hobbie, won the award for his documentary film about the cathedral in Milano 2002)
Co-Directors and lead actresses Nika Politeo (Won the 32nd Annual Film Fest In Zadar with her debut experimental film CrazyFor… at the age of 14!!a few art films, cartoon GaetanoInMiami etc.)
Cleo Dobermann (starred in a few music videos (Aimless SelfDistruction, TheSaltwater…),a few pop-art films, cartoon GaetanoInMiami)
FUNNY STUFF: on the net I have read that Nika and Keanu, Cleo and Anthony are dating!! That’s hilarious!It seems people enjoy making up things about other people! Eh!!
