Terms & Conditions
1. In the conditions which follow ‘the company’ means P. Lagdon Contracts.
2. The company accepts responsibility for the installation of material only when all standards are met.
3. The company may not accept responsibility for damage to property or furniture however caused.
4. Mat or eggshell paint will mark as the result of the tools used and the company will do its very best not to mark any items but may not be responsible if any marks are made.
5. The company will not accept responsibility for any kind of damage to pipes or electrical material etc. not conforming to standards.
6. Every care will be taken but the company may not accept responsibility for damage however caused to walls cupboards etc.
7. Materials kept in the vehicle or on site is the responsibility of the customer or contractor.
8. Variations in colour occur. No claims will be accepted for mismatched or faulty materials after installation.
9. Invoices are to be paid COD or within 14 days of the invoice date.
10. The company will levy interest at 3% per month on all outstanding invoices unpaid after 14 days.
11. The company is not responsible for clients own measurements.
12. The company may not guarantee work carried out on materials supplied by the client.
13. All work and supplied materials is guaranteed for 12 months from invoice date.
14. All materials have there own specified guarantee and the company has no obligation to replace all or any material that is damaged after installation, and will charge to carry out any work undertaken.
15. Possible defects must be notified in writing to the company at the latest within 30 days of invoice.
16. Liability arising from this warranty is restricted to:
a. Hidden defects. These are defects that were not visible before or during the installation.
b. The cost of removing and replacing the material is always borne by the purchaser.
c. The company can never be held liable for any secondary damage.
17. Whilst every effort is made to maintain stable prices for as long as possible, all prices are subject to alteration without notice.
18. Other than by prior agreement the return of materials will not be accepted by the company. If the company accepts the return of materials a minimum handling charge of 15% will be made. Under no circumstances of a non-stock material or the return of a sheet floor covering material be accepted after such materials have been ordered or cut.
19. No responsibility will be accepted for the results of any work not carried out by the company on materials supplied by the company, since the company has no control over methods or conditions of use.
20. All goods supplied remain the property of the company until such times where full payment is received.
21. Damage or shortages must be notified to the company immediately on receipt. No claim will be accepted against deliveries made and signed for “unexamined” it is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure correct delivery. The company will accept no claim for goods transhipped after being delivered.
22. A time of delivery advised by the company is given in good faith, but can be estimated only. The company cannot accept responsibility for any costs however incurred due to a delay in advised delivery time. In the event of the delivery vehicle being unable to complete because of customer absence, any secondary delivery may be charged for. Deliverys are kirbside only.
23. There will be a charge for delivery of materials less than £350.00.
24. Making payment means that you agree to these terms and conditions.
