Pieces of a Dream Outreach
Pieces of a Dream Outreach is a non-profit 501(c3) organization that addresses issues of hunger, homelessness, domestic violence and at-risk youth in Wake County and surrounding areas.
Pieces of a Dream Outreach was founded in 1998 by Curtis and Renee Johnson both ordained ministers in Raleigh, North Carolina.
MISSION STATEMENT: To empower residents of Wake County and surrounding areas through services and programs that will educate,equip,and make life changing improvements to their current situtations and life styles.
PROGRAMS: Pieces of a Dream Outreach currently sponsors the following programs: Food Baskets and Assistance- Food items available for low-income or needy individuals. Food Bank assistance provided Mon. - Friday 10:00a - 4:00p.
Clothing & Furniture Assistance - Provided for low-income individuals or families. Gently used clothing is available for work, church, or play. Clothing is available for women, children and men. Furniture assistance is also available for homeless individuals or families that have secured adequate housing.
Work Readiness Assistance - Provided for under-employed or unemployed individuals. Training and referrals for employment are provided one clients are enrolled in the work readiness program.
My Sister's House - Transitional housing program for battered women and their children residing in Wake County and surrounding areas. Participants of the program must have an active restraining order in effect.
Pieces of a Dream Outreach Youth Enrichment Program - Assist youth between the ages of 7 -17 with accademic and tutorital services. This program meets daily Mon - Friday from 3:30p until
6:00p. Pieces of a Dream Youth Enrichment Program also provides community service opportunities for youth participants.
