Special Needs
My name is P.A.Wolf and I am the single mother of three special needs kids. I love my kids totally and unconditionally and I have dedicated my life to giving them the best possible life that I can.
Unfortunately, due to my needing to take a lot of time off work for my kids needs and due to my own serious health problems as well, I have lost my job of eight years. They have refused to give me a good reference. They have terminated me for alleged misconduct which I believe is actually only a cover for terminating my employment due to my personal and family circumstances.
Employment Insurance has disqualified me from benefits due to this "alleged misconduct." Income assistance has refused my application due to my having pension funds which are completely locked in until age 55 and I'm 38 years old. They say I should be able to access these funds but everyone else I've talked to has said there's no way I can get my hands on any of those funds. They're also giving me the run around for other loans that I've taken out in the past. Disability insurances have denied my claims due to my condition being a complication of pregnancy, which isn't covered. Due to complications of pregnancy, I've had scar tissue removed, as well as a complete hysterectomy and a cancerous tumor removed as well, in the process. I've had radiation therapy and my prognosis is good for a complete recovery but meanwhile, I've lost my job and my ability to provide for my children. I'm trying to go back to school and train in a new field but with no income this is quite a challenge. My greatest fear right now is having no food to put on the table for my kids and losing my home and having nowhere to go. I can't get an apartment with no income of any kind. Even income assistance is denying me assistance. I have loans to pay and creditors banging my door down and phoning me constantly to harass me for money which doesn't exist. I've considered declaring bankruptcy but this would mean losing my home and being homeless and out on the streets. I have no family and nowhere to go.
