Dreaming of Freedom
I started this site as I believe in the rights of prisoners and that the families & friends of prisoners should be treated with dignity & respect. I also believe legislative changes need to be made to aid families in reunification & to reduce long prison terms for non violent crimes.
This web room is for relatives and friends of incarcerated people, allowing us a forum to meet, become friends & to make changes in our lives & the lives of those we love.
My husband is currently incarcerated after being free for over 10 years. I am located in Washington State, but this is for all of us across the US, to learn from 1 another, to make friends & to learn about the plights & laws of those other States.
I also have a kid/teen only site called 'Kids of Prisoners' which I know my kids would of loved to have when they were younger. For both groups my goal is to arrange meetings, have camp outs, reunions, picnics, bike runs, push for legislative changes & whatever else we dream of.
There are many issues that surround us in our lives when our partner has gone to prison, to voice those issues here is what I am allowing us to freely do.
