Finger Bike HQ

POSITIONS:

Position 1: Stick your index finger through the gap in the handlebars, and use your other fingers to grab the seat with your thumb on one side and your middle and ring fingers on the other side. Let your thumb hang out.

Position 2: Put your index and middle finger on the grips of the handlebars, and the rest of your fingers go on the seat.

Position 3: The same as position 1, but instead of your fingers on the seat, your thumb goes on one back peg, and your middle or ring finger goes on the other.

TRICKS:

The Tailwhip Style 1 (beginner): Start in Position 1 or 3. First you need to get some air. Then, while in the air, you let go of the pegs or seat, and use your index finger to swing the bike around 360 degrees. Then use you other fingers to stop it and grab on to it again. Land. If you are more advanced, or if you get more air, try spinning it 720 degrees.

Style 2 (advanced): Start in position 1 or 3. Roll your bike on a flat suface. Push HARD on the front brake or do a nose wheelie (I'm SURE you know what that means). While the back end is up, swing it around as many times as you can. See how many times you can get it around! Then land the same way as style 1.

The X-Up (advanced): Start in position 2. Get some air, and while in the air, turn the handlebars 180 degrees so that your fingers make an X (get it?). Turn your fingers back and land.

The Nothing (very advanced): Start in position 2. Get some HUGE air. Once in the air, let go of the whole bike, and grab it again. Land this trick and I will worship you (not really).

The Feeble Grind (beginner): Start in position 1 or 2. Go to a grinding area that is NOT a rail but a PLATFORM. Grind on its edge with your back wheel, and let your front wheel roll along the platform (a great place to do this is on a book).

Double Peg Grind (beginner): Start in position 1 or 2. Come to an edge, jump, and use both pegs to grind.

Double Peg Stall (beginner): Again, this can be done by using Position 1 or 2. Come to any ledge or rail, jump, and put both pegs on the ledge without moving forward. Stay in this position for a few seconds, and then come off.

Icepick Grind (beginner): I will say this ONCE: ALL GRINDS AND STALLS ARE POSITION 1 OR 2!!!!!! Come to a ledge or whatever and then jump. Bring your front wheel up and grind with the back peg only.

Icepick Stall (beginner): Do the same as the Icepick Grind, but don't move along the rail. Stay in one spot on the ledge for a few seconds and then land.

Toothpick Grind (beginner): Come to a ledge. Jump. Put your back wheel in the air and grind with your front wheel.

Toothpick Stall (beginner): Do a Toothpick Grind, but don't move along the rail.

Double X Grind (my trademark, intermediate): For this you need two grinding surfaces that are about two inches higher than each other and one inch away horizontally. Use your back wheel to grind on the bottom ledge, and your front wheel on the top ledge, or vice versa.

E-Mail me more tricks that you know! I will post them on my site!
