I introduce myself as a GEOPHYSICIST working in NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ROCK MECHANICS at Kolar Gold Fields in India. I am heading the Engineering Geophysics Group of the Institute which is primarily working in the area of shallow level geophysical exploration intended to anlayse the the foundation engineering problems.
Our main expertise lie in
* Mapping subsurface flaws like folds, faults, buried channels,
dykes or any other intrusive anomalies etc.
* Mapping subsurface stratigraphy in terms of lithology
* Imaging for any cracks or fractures in the subsurface.
We use mainly two types of geophysical exploration tools :
* 24-Channel refraction seismograph
* Step Frequency Radar (wide band)
So far we have completed more than 40 prestigious projects projects at various sites within India. Our main clients are Hydroelectric Construction Project Authorities, Irrigation Project Authorities, Coal and Metal mining companies, Refineries and other civil construction companies etc.
