While you are reading this are you aware of who or what is reading this with you?
The Loa who dwell between key (Heaven) and trial (Earth) know the reason and the bondage that ties those that are hell bound to those that are completing one of their many circles on this Earth.
Media and myth call these other beings demonique or demons. A demon according to Loa (spelt with a small d) is an entity that longs to embrace the light and life that the living tend to take for granted.
Here is a story to explain the Loa spirits relationship with the demonique.
1. THE SYMBOLIC STORY
Ease gathered about her six crystals. Each one owned a name and each was given a task.
Jasper was given the power to heal as citrine was given the power to inspire. Garnet was blessed with by Erzulie with love who treasured its gifts of forsight and wisdom.
Erzulie as is often the way with the Gods who maintain a close relationship with the living fell in love.
The object of her love was Fade : a fisherman. So intense was her love for Fade and in return his love for her, Erzulie asked Pappa Legba to pass Fade into the realm of spirit so that they may be joined together.
Pappa smiled and said no. He would not allow a good man to fall victim to the folly that sometimes befall the games of Gods.
Erzulie furious decided to take this into her own hands and pass Fade into spirit without Pappa's permission.
Beware Gods and men that open doors, for only Pappa can truly close them. The demonique were watching and waiting to see what transpired.
Soon enough Erzulie did what Pappa said she must not do. She opened the door of a spirit and allowed Fade to pass through and of course seeing an opportunity a demonique passed through the other side.
The demon that took advantage of Erzulies folly was called aalf et simon.
Now these are the rules. When a demon gets through they are bound. They must destroy the one that opened the door or possess!
simon could not be destroyed or destroy Erzulie a Goddess but Pappa could punish Erzulie in his judgement.
Pappa took Erzulies lover and placed him in garnet so Erzulie could look at him forever but not touch him.
Pappa then took the demonique simon and also placed him in the garnet.
So forever more when you look into Erzulies crystal you will see two contradicting presences.
One a spirit taken by the gods, the other a demon trying to escape.
Look deep into the garnet and see what you will. Both spirits feed on your thoughts and dreams.
Be careful what you ask them!

The story is used to demonstrate how the demon uses the relationship between man and faith to escape their bondage and find a place on Trial. They do not only need a way in, they also need an energising emotion to come in on!
In the story the emotion was lust but do not think that they emotions they use are limited as a demon will take advantage of any high energy octane emotion...lust....envy....hate....fear etc!
So how do you let a demon in? Well look behind you....Maybe you just have!
2. THE dEMONIQUE
I can tell you how to open the door and let a demon in....BUT I AIN'T GONNA for obvious reasons and besides, we all have our own demons to contend with without allowing their brothers and sisters in to join them!
However.... In this section I will describe several common demon, their methods and how they managed to transcend the empty dark into our own Space and Trial.
BUT FIRST....How to protect yourself from your own demons and the demons that others house in their hearts.
SYMBOLS!
The Crucifix, worn with love and faith.
Sea salt, used literally in every corner of your dwelling place.
The symbol of Pappa Legba above the bed.
A Familiar, usually a cat or even a dog if well disciplined!
Oils, rose, lemongrass, lotus etc (not mango)!
Cannabis Smoke (for personal use only!)
White candles (but not four burning at once!)
