National Award Winning Portrait Tattoos
I do portrait tattoos from your favorite photo...and I have done pencil portraits for 30 years, so it was a natural for me. I have won many FIRST PLACE Awards for PORTRAITS all across the country.
My mentor and good friend JACK ARMSTRONG, known worldwide as the "Oldest Living Tattoo Artist in the World" and seen for years in TATTOO MAGAZINE, came to me one day and said he wanted me to do a series of portraits on his back, which had nothing on it, except for the start of JESUS that was done 50 years before, because the guy who did it was hurting him so bad, that he made him stop! I did the 15 Prophets of the Lord, the Presidents past and present of the Church of Latter Day Saints!!
ODD...You say? Well, it goes way back to 1949 in Hawaii, when he was baptized at the Church in Hawaii. Believe it or not, when we went to the "NATIONAL TATTOO CONVENTION" in Los Angeles in 1998, when we took the above awards for "People's Choice" and "Artist's Choice" for Best Tattooed Senior, we actually met a lady who had the Morman Temple in Utah as a full back piece! This picture was in TATTOO MAGAZINE after the convention.
