These drawings are done from your favorite photograph of your child, parents, pet, whatever you like. They are done on artist drawing paper with graphite pencil. They are 11x14 which includes the perforations at the top of the paper. They come unframed and unmatted.
All I need is a photograph that shows good detail...the more I can see, the more accurate I can draw! Many times customers provide several photos and let me choose which one to draw. I like that, plus the extra photos gives me more insight to the person I am drawing, and I have been told many times that my drawing looks more like the subject than ANY of the photographs! Needless to say...when I hear that...it makes it all worthwhile!

Patti Jo has also participated in the Annual Artist Ride in South Dakota near Wall. It is an artist gathering photo-op for artists. It is by invitation only and there are only 50 artists a year allowed to go. Hundreds of models come in full regalia of the old west. There are Indians, cowboys, mountainmen, Calvary, both sides, wild mustangs, a wagon train, a couple stagecoaches, and even a real chuck wagon where they all eat everyday.
It has been said that Patti Jo's paintings look like photographs and her photographs look like paintings! And her tattoos look like stickers!
Patti Jo is an accomplished PORTRAIT ARTIST and PHOTOGRAPHER. She can either paint your PORTRAIT in acrylics or oils or draw it in Pencil. She works from your favorite photograph or she will do a special photo session to create exactly what you envision.
Her main focus is Native Americans in her paintings, but also Victorian and Pioneer children, horses ,animals, and "The Old West" and last but not least...Emmett Kelly, Jr., The World's Most Famous Clown"!
