V.I. Lenin
Vladimir Lenin’s impact is undeniable. He took Marxism and manipulated it to fit the archaic agricultural, absolutist system in Russia. His flight into immortality had little to do with his brother Sasha's execution for it was just one of many ingrediants that pushed Lenin down the road of a revolutionary. It had more to do with the instilling of critical thought by Lenin's parents, the unexpected passing of the family patriarch, the hanging of Sasha, the expulsion from Kazan University, the educational handcuffs imposed by Russian government officials, the influential writings of radicals and thinkers, they all had a hand in the growth of a revolutionary mind set. In other words there was a plethora of factors that created Lenin. There are many times in our lifetime we face a crisis. How we react to the crisis is what determines who we are. Life is about adaptation There are leaders and there are followers. Lenin may have followed the protocol in print (The Communist Manifesto) but he emerged the leader by adapting. His experiences solidified a determination that could not be stopped. Obstacles were simply that. He would not let anything deter him from his goal. A goal he felt that was pertinant to Russia's success in the world at large. Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov Lenin left his mark on the world.
