Hey, this site is special desighned 2 help u out! My sister and I made this webpage becuz we were fed up with dead end searches about, well what some would call "odd" subjects. So here it is our site! Since this is one of those free site we have 2 put all our info. on one page, which is kinda bad especially since theres a lot of information present. We hope you like it! before we begin i'm going to give you a brief history of men and women in the trojion war. they have somethingd in common with the greek gods/ess.

Leda
A queen of Sparta and the mother, by Zeus in the form of a swan, of Helen and Pollux and, by her husband Tyndareus, of Castor and Clytemnestra.

Helen of Troy
The daughter of Zeus and Leda and wife of Menelaus. Her abduction by Paris caused the Trojan War.

Clytemnestra
The wife of Agamemnon who, with the assistance of her lover Aegisthus, murdered him on his return from the Trojan War and was later murdered by her son Orestes.

Tyndareus
A king of Sparta and the husband of Leda.

Aegisthus
The son of Thyestes and lover of Clytemnestra. He helped Clytemnestra kill her husband Agamemnon upon Agamemnon's return from the Trojan War.

Menelaus
The king of Sparta at the time of the Trojan War; husband of Helen and brother of Agamemnon.

Paris
The prince of Troy whose abduction of Helen provoked the Trojan War.

Orestes
The son of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, who with his sister Electra avenged the murder of his father by murdering his mother and her lover Aegisthus.

Agamemnon
The king of Mycenae and leader of the Greeks in the Trojan War, who was the son of Atreus and the father of Orestes, Electra, and Iphigenia. He was killed by his wife Clytemnestra upon his return from Troy.

Electra
A daughter of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon who with her brother Orestes avenged the murder of Agamemnon by killing their mother and her lover, Aegisthus.

Atreus
A king of Mycenae, brother of Thyestes and father of Agamemnon and Menelaus.

Iphigenia
The daughter of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, who was offered as a sacrifice by Agamemnon but rescued by Artemis. She later became a priestess.

Thyestes
A king of Mycenae who unknowingly ate the flesh of his own sons, served to him by his brother Atreus, as revenge for seducing his wife and usurping the throne.

Atreus
A king of Mycenae, brother of Thyestes and father of Agamemnon and Menelaus.

Greek Gods/ess

Acrisius
A king of Argos and father of Danaë who was killed by his grandson Perseus.

Apollo
The god of prophecy, music, medicine, and poetry, sometimes identified with the sun.

Ares
The god of war.

Atlas
A Titan condemned by Zeus to support the heavens upon his shoulders.

Bacchus
See Dionysus.

Castor
One of the Dioscuri.

Dionysus
The god of wine and of an orgiastic religion celebrating the power and fertility of nature. Also called Bacchus.

Dioscuri
Castor and Pollux, the twin sons of Leda and brothers of Helen and Clytemnestra, who were transformed by Zeus into the constellation Gemini.

Eros The god of love, son of Aphrodite.

Hades
The god of the netherworld and dispenser of earthly riches.

Hephaestus
The god of fire and metalworking.

Hercules
The son of Zeus and Alcmene, a hero of extraordinary strength who won immortality by performing 12 labors demanded by Hera.

Orpheus
A legendary Thracian poet and musician whose music had the power to move even inanimate objects and who almost succeeded in rescuing his wife Eurydice from Hades.

Perseus
The son of Danaë and Zeus and husband of Andromeda who killed the Gorgon Medusa.

Phoebus
Apollo, the god of the sun.

Pollux
One of the Dioscuri.

Poseidon
The god of the waters, earthquakes, and horses, and brother of Zeus.

Prometheus
A Titan who stole fire from Olympus and gave it to humankind, for which Zeus chained him to a rock and sent an eagle to eat his liver, which grew back daily.

Uranus
the god of the heavens and husband of Gaea, who personified the earth. Uranus was the father of the Titans, who dethroned and castrated him. From the blood that fell upon the earth sprang the three Erinyes, or Furies. The severed genitals of Uranus fell into the sea and from them emerged the goddess Aphrodite.

Zeus
The principal god of the Greek pantheon, ruler of the heavens, and father of other gods and mortal heroes.

Roman Gods

Cupid
The god of love; the son of Venus.

Janus
The god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions.

Jove
See Jupiter.

Jupiter
The supreme god, patron of the Roman state and brother and husband of Juno. Also called Jove.

Mars
The god of war.

Mercury
A god that served as messenger to the other gods and was himself the god of commerce, travel, and thievery.

Neptune
The god of the sea.

Pluto
The god of the dead and the ruler of the underworld.

Remus
The twin brother of Romulus.

Romulus
The son of Mars and eponymous founder of Rome who, with his twin brother, Remus, was reared and suckled by a wolf.

Saturn
The god of agriculture.

Vulcan
The god of fire and metalworking.

Other Gods

Osiris
The ancient Egyptian god whose annual death and resurrection personified the self-renewing vitality and fertility of nature.

Serapis
An ancient Egyptian god of the lower world, also worshiped in ancient Greece and Rome.

Godesses (now i'll show you the goddesses in alphabetical order)

Aphrodite
goddess of love and beauty.

Artemis
The virgin goddess of the hunt and the moon and twin sister of Apollo.

Athena
The goddess of wisdom, the practical arts, and warfare.

Danae
The daughter of Eurydice and Acrisius and mother of Perseus who was imprisoned by her father in a bronze chamber.

Demeter
The goddess of the harvest, daughter of Rhea and Cronus and mother of Persephone.

Eurydice
The wife of Orpheus, whom he failed to rescue from Hades when he looked back at her and so violated the command of Pluto on their journey back to the upper world of the living.

Gaea
The goddess of the earth, who bore and married Uranus and became the mother of the Titans and the Cyclopes.

Hebe
The goddess of youth and spring, cupbearer to the Olympian gods.

Hecate
An ancient fertility goddess who later became associated with Persephone as queen of Hades and protector of witches.

Hera
The sister and wife of Zeus.

Hestia
The goddess of the hearth, daughter of Cronus and Rhea.

IIris
The goddess of the rainbow and messenger of the gods.

Persephone
The daughter of Demeter and Zeus who was abducted by Hades but rescued by her mother and thereafter spent six months of the year on earth and six months in the underworld.

Phoebe
The goddess Artemis.

Roman Godessess

Ceres
The goddess of agriculture.

Diana
The virgin goddess of hunting and childbirth, traditionally associated with the moon and identified with the Greek Artemis.

Juno
The principal goddess of the Pantheon, the wife and sister of Jupiter and the patroness primarily of marriage and the well-being of women.

Minerva
The goddess of wisdom, invention, the arts, and martial prowess.

Proserpina
The daughter of Ceres who became the goddess of the underworld when Pluto carried her away and made her his wife.

Venus
The goddess of sexual love and physical beauty.

Vesta
The goddess of the hearth, worshiped in a temple containing the sacred fire tended by the vestal virgins.

Other Godesses

Astarte
A Near Eastern goddess traditionally associated with love and fertility.

Isis
An ancient Egyptian goddess of fertility, the sister and wife of Osiris.

Misc. Things

Gnomes
One of a fabled race of dwarflike creatures who live underground and guard treasure hoards.

Elfs
A small, often mischievous creature considered to have magical powers.

Dwarfs
A small creature resembling a human being, often ugly.

Trolls
powerful giant and enemy of humans. Trolls lived in caves or in castles, robbing and eating travelers who strayed into their domain after dark. Huge, hard-skinned, and virtually indestructible, trolls could only be vanquished by sunlight, which would either turn them to stone or make them explode.

Witch
A woman or man popularly believed to have supernatural powers and practice sorcery, and often believed to be aided by spirits or a familiar. A believer or follower of Wicca; a Wiccan.

Demons
An evil supernatural being; a devil.

Fairy
A tiny being in human form, depicted as clever, mischievous, and possessing magical powers.

Pixy
A fairylike or elfin creature, especially one that is mischievous; a playful sprite.

Warlocks
An evil witch that has fallen to follow the Wiccan Credo.
