Homeopathy is a scientific teaching that is based on using specifically prepared, natural remedies to stimulate the body's inherent ability to heal itself. No other approach affords the user the safety, availability and beneficial healing responses that are basic to homeopathy.


First discovered in the late 18th century by the gifted physician-chemist Christian Hahnemann, homeopathy is based on the premise known as the Law of Similars. This law states that whatever symptoms a substance will cause in healthy person, it will create a healing response in an ill person.


Dr. Hahnemann began developing his work by giving a sick person a diluted and potentized portion of a substance which generated the same disease symptoms in a healthy one. He observed that in many cases the body could heal itself. This great breakthrough led to the worldwide establishment of the medical science known as Homeopathy - coined by Hahnemann from the Greek root words homoios ("similar") and pathos ("suffering").


How to use homeopathic remedies:


-They can be used topically and taken internally.


-For best results, allow the tablet(s) to dissolve slowly on the tongue for 20 seconds (crush with teeth first)


-For common symptoms, take 1 tablet every 15 minutes for the first hour, then 3-4 times daily. For severe symptoms, take one tablet every five to fifteen minutes until improved.


-When taking more then one homeopathic remedy, each dosage should be separated by 15 or 20 minutes.


-Take at least a half hour before or after eating. Try not to take homeopathics with food. If they are taken with foods, they will be beneficial, but not as effective.


-Avoid caffeine, teas, coffees, sodas, mints, as they can reduce the effectiveness of the preparation by up to 85%.


-Avoid placing products near microwaves, x-ray equipment or other magnetic devices.


-Children under six take one-half the adult dosage.
