My ham career is briefly this:
I was born in Oslo,Norway 1937. Licenced in 1953 as LA5HE.
The first Norwegian Maritime Mobile in 1958 LA5HE/MM.
Operated with the Staib North Pole Expedition as LI2C in 1964.
Operated as JX5HE from Jan Mayen in 1966.
Licenced also as OZ8RO in 1968. First time JW5HE operation in 1969. Have held the call HB9XCG and G5BHQ for shorter time.
Relocated to Denmark in 1981.
I was council member for 10 years and vicepresident for 2 years of NRRL ( Norway). Have attended IARU Region 1 conferences in Malmo and Opatja.
Knight of the Golden Key (Norway) 1968.
Founding member and past president of LA DX Group.
Ex-boardmember of the European DX Foundation.
Have been on DXCC Honor Roll as LA5HE ( 380 + countries mixed)
5BDXCC no 108. Also HR as OZ8RO.
Member of ARRL ( Life ),RSGB,NRRL, FOC, HSC, A1op.
Have operated from various European countries, USA,Canada, Martinique, Greenland,Hongkong,Taiwan.
