"Fear"
A poem reflecting a decision/transition point, the "fork in the road experience." One of those moments where the character feels there is something that must be done yet the oppressivity of the situation stiffels productivy.

This poem was written after a conversation I had with a reluctant expectant father. He expressed his anxiety, hesitation and at the same time hopefullness. It is of a 'life' subjectory.

Characterized by a struggling rap artist transitioning to another level. The analogical aspects being astrology, history, biology, chemistry and sociology among others.

Fear
...All around me, sleepers drowning,
Not realizing their dreams,
Overwhelmed by greed, misdirection
And obssessions with C.R.E.A.M.*
Know what I mean?...
I yell out, while tears
Down my face stream.
But clouds, even eventually,
Run out of water...
Do empty feelings
Ever cease?
Despite this,
Tommorow's pants still
Need to be creased...

"Baby Boy"
On the brink of a brand new horizon
A day like no day has been or will ever be again,
Overshawdowing my today are voices of yesterday
Feelin like he got to be a man, not knowing
all the time that he's the Sun...
Confronted by feelings never felt before,
His father a good man yet there's no escape
from growing up poor, BOOM* he realizes
To increase the change* in my pocket,
I must increase the change in my mindframe.
What I do, effects me, boo* and baby-to-be too...
*BOOM-interjection,transition word sound of a lightbulb exploding(lightbulb representing idea)
*change-cheddar,dinero,loot,dough,confetti-money
*boo-term of affection for girl or boyfiend,friend or associate relatedly interchangeable with baby or honey

Planetary movements,
as smooth as the groove hits
feeling as if standing
in th midst of crossroads,...
Writing rhymes,
In my spare time,
Allow my mind,
To recline,
Dropping quarters and dimes*,
Turnung water into wine,
Go'ne* bite I don't mind,
Just writing rhymes...
*dimes-taken from the phrase "dropping a dime (on a person or situation)" giving information
Go'ne-contration for Go on and - go ahead, proceed

...My positive life experiences no more than a collection
of broken images of how I thought
things should be, should look, should feel
How can I attempt to mold and construct
the life of another,when I cain't* train a Brother?
...Ever evolving Sun, stationary despite appearances
(in theory) I am the reflection of my choice
despite cosmic interferences, my world revolves around the source.
Realizing that we rotate on different orbital paths,
I must keep my mind and actions in balance...
As a tree that has been planted
Seeds have sprung from the root.
Fruit hangs tenderly from the vine,
Our whole solar system and universe
Effected by ONE MOMENT IN TIME.
