Bid on Recording Studio Services!

Before you place your bid, please take a moment to read through the frequently asked questions below. We also recommend that you visit our website at www.OvertureStudios.com to become more familiar with our company and the quality of the services that we provide. When you're ready to bid, simply click the BID NOW! button below.

What is a bid? In this case, a bid is the process of placing a price and/or a traded product or service on a selected recording studio service based on a value that is derived from your band's budget and need for such a service.

What am I bidding on? You are bidding on 4 services: 1) Live Audio/Video Recording with no Mix, 2) Live Audio/Video Recording with Mix, 3) Studio Time by the hour (Tracking, Overdubbing, Editing, and/or Mixing), and/or 4) an 8 hour block of Studio Time.

Why bid on a Live Audio/Video Recording with or without Mix? Most bands can not afford to pay the costs associated with a professional live recording. By bidding for this service, we are able to make it much more affordable by splitting the recording cost between multiple bands. When you share the stage with other bands, you’re able to share the costs, and everyone wins. In most cases, the combined bids are enough to make it possible for everyone to take advantage of this service at a price that fits each band's individual budget. Remember, you have absolutely nothing to loose by bidding, and everything to gain.

WHY WOULD I EVEN WANT A LIVE A/V RECORDING?: A Professional Audio/Video Recording for your EPK (Electronic Press Kit) and/or a DVD for your physical Press Kit is the #1 rated tool for booking more and higher paid gigs. This will of course lead to a larger fan base and ultimately more A&R (Artist & Repertoire) Rep visits resulting in Record Deal offers. Becoming well known and possibly Rich and Famous in the Music Business is certainly a tangible task, but only if your band follows the appropriate steps. It all starts with playing as many gigs, in as many different venues possible. Booking Managers want to hear a live recording, not something that was tracked, overdubbed, and edited in a studio. They also want to be able to see you in action, which is why you'll also be provided with a tripod mounted, pro camcorder, with a static, optimal view of your band. This video will be synced to the finished mixed audio for an explosive presentation. We only use one camera simply because Booking Managers don't want to watch an overproduced multiple camera shoot. They want to be able to view and listen to you just as if they were actually there in the audience. This way, they know exactly what they're getting for their money when they decide to book your band for their next event.

NOTE: You are bidding on a Professional A/V Live Recording with the "OS Remote Truck." We will record up to 48 simultaneous, individual tracks with the absolute best mics, di-boxes, cables, mic/line pre-amps, and A/D converters money can buy. Once the recording is complete, we will then mix the tracks in our studio and sync the final audio mix to your pro video recording (one camera with optimal view of your band) which will be presented to you on DVD. You will also get a CD with just audio.

REMINDER: Don't ever hire amatuers and/or hobbyist to record/mix your music. This is a complete waist of your band's time and money. Never allow your band's reputation to be damaged by allowing anyone to record you with a stereo feed from the venue's mixing console (Yuck), or better yet, with a video camera's stereo mic (Double Yuck).

Why bid on Studio Time? Like most Recording Studios, our facilities are not booked all of the time. We have many open time slots and even full days where we are not working resulting in a loss of profit. It’s times like this that we are much more inclined to accept a lower rate (bid) than we normally charge. Bidding on studio time can open up an opportunity to save a substantial amount of money. Remember, you have absolutely nothing to loose by bidding, and everything to gain.

NOTE: You are bidding on Professional Studio Time (Tracking, Overdubbing, Editing, and/or Mixing). We have the absolute best equipment & facility money can buy and some of the most talented engineers in Atlanta to run it.

REMINDER: Don't ever hire amatuers and/or hobbyist to record/mix your music. This is a complete waist of your band's time and money. Make sure you hire an actual Recording Engineer (someone who has a Degree or Certification in the Recording Arts). Be aware of "so called engineers" trying to pawn off their cheap services using inferior consumer equipment.

How should I bid? Your bid should represent your band’s budget and need for such a service. Don’t bid more than your band can afford. Likewise, if you’re bidding on a service that your band is interested in, don’t bid too low or you may never get an opportunity to take advantage of such a service. You should put some thought into your bid(s) the first time, however, if at anytime you decide to change your bid, simply bid again (this will override any previous bids).

How long does it take before my bid is accepted? This depends on the value of your bid and the frequency of opportunities that arise. There is no time limit on a bid. All bids are reviewed on a daily basis. If at anytime Overture Studios accepts your bid, you will be contacted by a studio representative.
