The Orthodox Church subsisting in America today is divided into innumerable splinters. We have no one to blame but ourselves. We split hairs about doctrine and we join with other groups in prayer and we hide from each other.
Do you want to know why we are divided? It is because we deserve to be. We have let the laissez-faire world-view absorb us. We know Orthodoxy better than our brothers do. Everyone is an island.
Who feeds the hungry, gives food to the homeless man?
As I homeless man, Orthodox Christians, I can say for the most part, it has not been Orthodoxy.
I have heard stories of Churches buying houses to keep minorities from "moving into" their neighborhoods. These are the ethnic jurisdictions of Orthodoxy? Have we chosen, then, to display the worst of human nature through the bigotry that our Orthodox forefathers themselves experienced??
The traditionalists are obsessed with protecting themselves, and the ecumenists leave GOD'S WORK-- OUR WORK- to heretics.
