What OPEC and The Oil Industry Dont Want U to know
My Name is Lex Loeb and I am running for public office. Most politicians wont tell you what i am about to tell you. OPEC and the Oil Industry certainly dont want you to know just how vulnerable their commodity supply based business is to small scale consumer decisions.
Most Americans dont realize that not only are they the world's biggest petroleum consumers but they are also the world's biggest inadvertant storage facility for both OPEC and big oil. When you drive down any street in america, and the rest of the world for that matter you will see car after car parked along the road. Each one is likely to have some percentage of a full tank of gasoline. There are idle lawn mowers and manyother types of equipment with stored gasoline. The Consumers actually store more gasoline, heating oil and other petroleum derivatives than the oil companies and opec do and most dont know it. There is sufficient power in knowing the extent of this storage capacity in breaking OPEC's artificial monopoly anytime we get together and act as a group .
When was the last time you went to the gas station and asked the attendent to fill'er up? Most of us do this for convience and sometimes because we fear we will have to pay more later or that we just got the best deal at the present gas station location. Its a big mistake.
The correct thing to do bring OPEC down to earth is really very simple but you HAVE TO SPREAD THE WORD as soon as possible by forewarding this website. Simply fill your gas tank(s) ONE HALF FULL OR LESS. ITS WELL WORTH THE INCONVIENCE of going back later to get more gas. Rationing and Terrifs and even conservation will not work as well as this. Why?
The reason why is gasoline has a brisk supply chain and the time gasoline spends in processing facilities and industry distribution storage costs the industry money and it builds up very quickly when there are even minute reductions in demand by consumers. In other words, the oil industry should be paying us to store all that extra gasoline and oil in our consumption tanks and not taxing us for what really is an impending glut of oil when supplies build up in their own storage facilities. To some degree there is also a shelf life for petroleum products and most consumers are unaware of this.
NOT ANY MORE. As a candidate for public office I have brought you this important message because I want your vote but I also want fair market prices for a gallon or liter of gasoline.
So Please spread the word: OPEC and Big Oil can be beaten at their own game....simply fill your gas tanks one half full or less every time you fill er up.....and you will be doing your part. But we have to act in concert so spread the word quickly and watch prices fall. It could take as much as three months or less as some consumers like our electric utilities will load up more quickly as prices fall for good reason than the average motorist....but they can only take up the slack so long before they too run out of storage capacity....
If you need proof that it works the way i say it does you can look at the histroy of spot prices on the futures and options markets and read an economic text book on the "prisoner's dilemma." You dont want to do this out of altruism or for conservation purposes...you want to meet your fueling needs what you dont want to do is store the industry's excess capacity for them for free.
PLEASE SEND THIS MESSAGE TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE as SOON AS POSSIBLE.
OPEC REALLY HAS NO RIGHT BY ANY LAW TO REDUCE SUPPLY TO DRIVE UP PRICES....it would be an anti trust violation if it happened in this country.
If you can please translate the message into as many different languages as possible as soon as possible....and spread the word.
