Asking for Help with Financial Needs
A
common dilemma for manyof us is whether to tell others they have a need. Does expressing a
Financial need show lack of faith?
On one side stand those who believe it is not spiritual to
ever let a material need be known. On the other side are those that believe that God works in mysterous ways.
God’s direction in the area of asking for financial help is
not an "absolute." Instead, it’s a "range." So, what is
right for one person may not be right for another.
There are various levels of spiritual growth in the very area
of God’s plan for our lives, including faith. To illustrate a point, there are steps of faith in the area of financial need. If everyone
were at the top, then we would never have to express a need.
So in this case it is the
Spirit acting through the one in need, Hoping it would impress on the heart of someone with
a surplus to give to those in need.
Certainly, many of us have had such experiences. I know I
have, as both a giver and as a receiver.
Sometimes God has used the input of another believer
to impress giving.
Jesus said,"all things for which you pray and ask,
believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you"
John said, "And whatever we ask we receive from Him" (1 John 3:22)
My question is does my asking show Inadequate faith in God. Instead, I feel that my actions are a reflection my faith by asking, thus establishing God’s word.
Just because some people have abused a scriptural principle
(those who use religion for personal gain) does not make the principle wrong.
Was God showing a lack of faith in Exodus 25:2 When he said to Moses "Tell
the sons of Israel to raise a contribution for me"? There is no
absolute way how we should make our materials needs known. Yet,
we would feel it was a lack of faith to let our financial need be
known.
God may require that a we not ask for help so that our
faith might be strengthened by only His intervention.
However, it may be God’s will for another to help.
Thus, if I choose not to ask for help with my financial needs,then be sure it is
God leading me in that direction, but if i choose to ask, it is not Not my ego or pride.
It is my faith in God that allow my Strenght to grow.

I ask in all kindness of you to help me out of a situtation that I am not able to get out of
myself.
