October 31s

The town of Clarion is about to celebrate Halloween; parties are planned and costumes are bought, but evil is lurking in a form these townspeople will never see coming, and will find very hard to believe. As different families begin to participate in the festivities murder also begins to manifest at the hands of the most unlikely subjects. Entire families are wiped out by one of their members and the only common denominator is that each killer was wearing a costume made by Wormwood Costumes, run by a demonic man named, Lucas Grier. There was something else odd as it seems the masks these killers wore somehow were fused to their faces, almost as if it were their own flesh.Creepy!
Our three main crime fighters in this chilling novel are Detective Thakian, FBI Agent Monar and Mayor Dulcet, all joining forces to try and figure out what was happening. We have a twist in this story as a group of teenage hackers called, "Trial By Fire," are trying desperately to tell Detective Thakian who and what is behind all the
killings, and why. They speak of an evil event that is to occur on Halloween that will change the world. What could that be? I have to be careful not to give away any of the plot of this outstanding first segment , but I will tell you this; once I started reading this work, I could not put it down. True, it was gruesome and weird, but I think that was its appeal. After all, a horror story should be full of horror. There is no shortage of dead bodies in this work, nor blood and gore, but the author does a great job of keeping the storyline flowing and holding your interest. The characters are believable and interesting and you can identify with them and their is a good element of mystery in the story.
You never find out exactly what was suppose to happen on Halloween, but this story is to be continued and of course you know you'll have to read part two to see what happens.
Great job Mr. Obmann. Exactly what one would expect in a good horror/mystery read and a little more.
Highly recommended.

And a poem I wrote:
Time: An Observation
It can pass in a moment or last forever
some have too much; others not enough
It governs our lives as a whole
yet affects us all differently
Yet...
I Imagine it as a pool of water
its temporal waves ebb and flow;
we measure it and even still
only for our purposes it fulfills
Relative, absolute in nature
many things it is governed by
as it has, it will always be
Infinite and Eternally
