I was born on June 6, 1932 and enlisted in the USAF on January 24, 1950.After achieving the grade of E-6 (Technical Sergeant), I was selected to attend Class 57C, Officer Candidate School, where I served as member of First Squadron, Alpha Flight, and graduated on September 20, 1957.
After OCS graduation, I attended pilot training and became a flight instructor, and later served in Southeast Asia as a Forward Air Controller. I spent a total of twenty years, three months and twenty-three days, before retiring from the USAF on July 31, 1970.
Audrey and I are the parents of five boys and a girl.After my Air Force career, I became employed as an administrative pilot in corporate aviation. Then, having spent yet another eight and a half years flying the Seattle Supersonics NBA team, I decided to retire again.
Audrey and I now own and operate a motel and RV park in the beautiful mountains of Idaho, near Lake Cascade.
