UNITED hot-shot Michael Chopra helped himself to four goals as the under-19 side beat Liverpool 7-1 at Blue Flames this afternoon.
Chopra opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he slotted home after good work from Ross Gardner on the right wing.
The striker then had a strike disallowed for offisde, then Peter Ramage had an effort chalked off for the same reason as United went for the jugular in the first half.
United continued to press, and Ross Gardner made it 2-0 on 37 minutes when he curled the ball home with the outside of his right foot after being set up by Tommy English.
Two minutes later it was 3-0 when Reds defender McNulty slipped, and Chopra picked up the loose ball, dummied the goalkeeper and rolled the ball in.
Richard Offiong almost made it 4-0 six minutes after the restart after weaving through four defenders, but goalkeeper Dittmer blocked with his legs.
However the keeper was picking the ball out of the net on 57 minutes when Martin Brittain played a great one-two with Chopra before firing home.
Offiong then teed up Chopra for his third and United's fifth on 73 minutes, but Liverpool reduced the deficit inside three minutes when when Mark Peer slammed the ball home after some persistent play from Welsh.
But United weren't weren't finished yet, and English made it 6-1 after Offiong's cross and Chopra wrapped up the rout with an unstoppable 25-yard drive into the top corner.

After a poor first half performance from The Toon we went one - nil down early in the second half from a Didi Hamaan goal. Te n minutes later Owen scored from the spot and it appeared that the toon had lost another match, but minutes after coming on, Robert and Bellamy combined to set up a corner which was swung in to set up the Welshman Gary Speed. A few moments later the two youngsters combined again to set up geordie boy Alan Shearer for The Toons second. A few moments later after a jinking run and magic cross from Bellamy, Shearer almost converted again, but for a fine save for Jerzy Dudek. A 2 all draw away to Liverpool after a ten minute 2 goal turnaround was an excellent result in anyones mind.
