Incorporated - June 12, 1711
The town of Norton, as originally constituted, was bounded northerly by Dorchester (now Foxborough, Sharon, and Stoughton), easterly by Bridgewater, southerly by Taunton and Rehoboth, and westerly by Attleborough. It is now bounded northerly by Mansfield, easterly by Easton, and southerly and westerly as when first incorporated.*

1. The History of the Town of Norton, Bristol County, MA from 1669 to 1859 by George Faber Clark. This is a large, hardcovered reprint of the 1859 book. It consists of 550 pages filled with names, vital statistics, military information, and much more. It is available for $45.00 plus $5.00 S&H.
2. Images of America: Norton is a 128 page softcovered book packed with 200 pictures of Old Norton. This new book available only since March is Priced at $18.99 or $22.00 including S&H.
