Wedding music, String Quartet, Jazz, Ceilidh, Function Band.
North East Soirée offer fully professional entertainment for weddings and corporate functions for all over the North East of England. We regularly perform in Durham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Darlington in fact all over Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, Co Durham, Teeside and North Yorkshire.

String Quartet.
String Quartets are extremely popular at wedding ceremonies and corporate functions during receptions and meals. NES has an extensive repertoire of light classical and popular music from Bach to the Beatles and Braveheart to James Bond. We are happy to specially arrange and perform music of your choice at no extra charge.
Wind and Sax quartets are also available on request.
Background Music.
Three members of the string quartet can change instruments to form a Violin, Piano & Bass trio playing light jazz music for receptions and meals. There are several other options available for example Violin & Piano duo for Classical, Rock, Pop, Folk or Jazzy background music. Piano+Bass or Sax+Piano duos are available to play light Jazz.
Ceilidh Barn Dance Band - Complete with full instructions & demos.
This versatile Band is led by a real ceilidh-dancin' Scotsman who knows all the steps and is very popular at weddings. The instructions are so simple that anyone can Ceilidh dance even with no prior experience. We can also provide music for Dinner dances with ballroom style.
Jazz Band.
The Jazz band is available in many forms from a gentle 3 piece up to full swing line-up with singer, Sax, Piano, Bass and Drums All the variations of the band perform well-known Jazz / Blues standards and a variety of Latin numbers. The style of the band is intended to entertain the broad spectrum of tastes found at weddings and corporate functions. The repertoire is always changing and takes it’s inspiration from many sources but the band never play too loudly and prefer to stay cool rather than go wild. We think you’ll like it.
Function Band.
This five piece pop cover band performs classic rock from the 60s to present day and is 100% live! The band comprises a male singer, electric guitar, sax, keyboard, bass and drums. Other types of music can be played for example quicksteps, waltzes or Ceilidh.
Medieval Music
For special Themed events at the many spectacular Castles in the region, NES can now provide music from the Medieval, Renaissance and Tudor periods played on original reproduction instruments in costume.
Combined Events.
The performers within NES all play several different instruments/styles. The musicians can all play classical, jazz and popular music and have many years of professional experience. NES can provide an extremely varied programme of music of the highest standard with the same players all day, hence providing superb value for money.
Special requests.
All arrangements are written in-house with no extra charge for this service as long as at least one full weeks notice is given for arrangements. We are extremely flexible so please just ask for your special song.
Your favourite songs on CD.
NES will gladly play CDs through the band PA system at no extra charge - for example for the 1st dance, during the interval, or as guests arrive. Just let us know the style you would like or supply your own disc. We can also include a Disco section at the end of the night as well complete with flashing lights. Karaoke is available if required.
2008 Price Guide - from as little as £220 to between £400 and £900 for a combined event. Discounts of at least £100 are available for combined events. North East Soirée perform virtually every week throughout the year and generally are booked for Weddings (especially on Weekends) at least 6 months in advance so please book early.
