The Catholic Church and Porn
The Catholic Church Allows Porn at Its new senior and disabled center.
All Christians should object to the Catholic Church allowing porn to be viewed on its computers in the library at the newly acquried senior center now called Victory Tower in Takoma Park, MD. This property is THE TRANSACTION OF THE YEAR FOR 2005 for HUD but is a fraud and a complete failure. It was just another way for the archdioses of Washington to take millions of dollars of your tax dollars and misuse it. The senior and disabled tenants were abused severely during the acquisition process and the "so-called partial renovation" where you the tax payer paid over $8 million for those of us here to have a nice home to live at until we either recover from disability or to live out the last of our days. I've been here 9 years and have nothing more now than before you spent a penny and in fact my apartment is worse than ever and the whole building is in bad need of repair. Just today, Sept. 9, 2005 there was another fire in the basement where some incompetant workmen were trying to fix something that was done wrong during the renovation and they were careless themselves thus starting a fire while welding.
To pacify the tenants the management put computers in the library so they could make it look like they cared about the seniors and were providing extra services. But without filters the dirty old men who are freaks just sit around nearly 24/7 and look at filth making it hard if not impossible for the other tenants to use the library where many would like to bring their visitors including their grandchildren. Please call your local Catholic church and object to the porn and call Hud and object to the misuse of Millions at projects like this one.
