Alternative Vocabulary

Sometimes we use words or expressions, in such a way, that it's not only difficult to understand the meaning of them, but we are misleading too. Into these pages, we have the courage and the inner power, to reveal the truth beneeth those words.

Safety or/and photograph position. (Used in the TEAMadara's trip report of Mourgani (3a) This is a position suitable for either/both setting safety or/and shooting photographs. The amount of safety guaranteed, depends on:
- How spectacular your crashing/drowning in the rapid is:
  - if it's quite spectacular, there is a fair chance that the resquer/photographer will throw you a line, after 15sec of beating
  - if it's really spectacular, you 'd better have a rapid air device with you, because no self-respected cameraman will let down the camera, to get the throw bag.
  I always thought, that if you can't be in a safety position that could work, taking pictures of a crash and burn situation, (much better a video), can be very helpful. A good footage on film, can
  - save the next generation of paddlers, from crashing the same way!
  - pay the hospital bill
  - get you sponsorship from a descent helmet company!
