Learn more about the Hochschorner twins.
In men's K1, ranking was constantly changing from yesterday's preliminaries to the final run and nobody could really say who would be the ones to get to the podium.
The swiss winner of the preliminaries, Michael Kurt, ended up last at the first run and didn't make it to the semifinals. Neither did Canadian David Ford. French paddlers looked stronger and more determined today. An outsider until yesterday, Peschier, marking very fast runs made it to the first rank with world champion of Athens, Lefevre reaching only the third place.
British Walsch, even if he was announced fourth, finally was given the silver medal place.
