The Greek team
The Greek National team has been participating in international competitions in recent years with representatives such as Andreas Kilingaridis, Greek champion in the men�s single Canoe flatwater race (C1). During the Sydney 2000 Games, he got 15th position in the 1,000-metre race. In 2001, he ranked 11th in the Canoe flatwater world ranking list. At the 2002 World Cup in Germany, he came 5th in the 1,000-metre race.(Athens 2004 site)
Kayak slalom is a new sport in Greece, with the first national championship taking place in 2000.
