Trinitarian Bias Test
[New Simplified Bible Translation Notes]
Compare the way specific Key Scripture verses are translated to determine Trinitarian Bias. Is your Bible translation Trinitarian Biased?
What is Bias? A bias is a partiality that prevents objective consideration of an issue or situation. It is an effort to influence a reader or listener in an unfair way.
Trinitarian Bias in the Gospels
>1<
John 1:1 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1 NSB In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was like God (God-like).
*The context of the entire Bible proves that Jesus Christ, the Word, was not God in the past and is not God today. Jesus Christ is the Son of God! Jesus Christ is refered to as the Son of God nearly 70 times in the New Testament.
>2<
John 1:18 KJV No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
John 1:18 NSB No man has ever seen God. The only begotten God-like one who is closest to the Father (in the bosom of the Father) tells us about him. (Psalm 8:5)
*According to this verse only the God-like one, the only begotten Son, has ever seen God. This indicates that Jesus Christ has seen God and that they are two distinctively different beings.
>3<
John 8:58 KJV Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
John 8:58 NSB Jesus said: “I tell you the truth, I existed before Abraham was born!” (Ex 3:14, 15)
*The Greek word “eimi” means ‘am,’ ‘was,’ ‘have been.’ Both I am and I existed are correct translations. However, the context of the Holy Scriptures require the use of the past tense “have been” or “existed.” This is because Abraham was from the past and Jesus was explaining that he existed before Abraham existed.
>4<
John 10:30 KJV I and [my]Father are one.
John 10:30 NSB The Father and I are one (united in purpose).
*Jesus constantly speaks about God as a different person then himself. Earlier in John chapter ten Jesus said, “the Father knows me” and I know the Father. He also said, “The Father loves me.” They are not one and the same person! If Jesus was the Father he should have said so in no uncertain terms.
>5<
John 10:34-36 KJV Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blaspenest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
John 10:34-36 NSB Jesus said: “Is it not written in your law, I said, you are gods? So if he called them ‘god-like ones,’ those to whom the word of God came, and the Scriptures may not be annulled, do you say to the one whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, you blaspheme? And this because I said, I am the Son of God.” (Psalm 82:1, 6)(John 1:34; 5:18)(Luke 1:35)
>6<
John 10:38 KJV But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works” that ye may know, and believe, that the Father [is] in me, and I in him.
John 10:38 NSB “But if I do them and you do not believe me, believe the works! That way you may know and understand that the Father is with me, and I am with the Father.”
>7<
John 14:10, 11 KJV Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me, or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
John 14:10, 11 NSB “Do you not believe that I am with the Father and that the Father is with me? The words I say to you are not from me, but the Father dwells with me and does his works. Believe me that I am with the Father and the Father is with me, or else believe me because of the works.”
*There is a doctrine found in most churches of Christendom known as the “Indwelling of the Holy Spirit.” They would have you believe that God is dwelling inside of Jesus and Jesus is dwelling inside of God. That would make them one and the same. It also teaches that Holy Spirit dwells inside the believer.
The Wordweb Dictionary of Princeton University defines “indwelling”: “To exist as an inner activating spirit, force, or principle.” We read a discription of God’s enormous size at Isaiah 66:6, “The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house that you build unto me? And where is the place of my rest” (KJV) While God provides Holy Spirit to help the faithful, God does not dwell in them. He is too big for that. Only a small portion of His power (Spirit) could dwell within or nearby the believer.
>8<
John 14:17 KJV the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him. But ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:17 NSB “It is the Spirit of the truth. The world cannot receive it. The world does not see or know it. You know it because it lives with you and will be with you.”
>9<
John 15:4 KJV Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
John 15:4 NSB “Remain with me, and I with you. The branch cannot bear fruit by itself. It must remain on the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain with me.
*The attempt to Trinitarianize this verse caused the KJV translators to make the mistake of saying that the fruit must abide in the vine. It should properly be stated “on” the vine. The simple little Greek word “en” can be accurately translated ‘in,’ ‘on,’ ‘through,’ with, and ‘by’ to name a few of its meanings. A Trinitarian would use “in” to convey the thought that Jesus Christ was inside the Father and that the Father was inside of the Son. Again Bible context proves that the Son of God is NOT GOD!

John 16:13-15 KJV Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.
John 16:13-15 NSB “When the Spirit of truth comes it will guide you to all truth for it will not speak from itself. It will speak the things it hears and declare to you the things that are to come. It will glorify me and will take of what I have and declare it to you. All the things the Father has are mine. That is why I said [the Spirit] takes what I have and declares it to you.”
*The Greek word “ekeinos” can be translated both ‘he’ and ‘it.’ Ekeinos can also be translated ‘that one.’ Trinitarians want you to believe that Holy Spirit is a person so they choose to translate “ekeinos” to the English word ‘he.’ The true irony of this is that here again both ways to translate this Greek are correct. It all depend on your understanding of the context of the Holy Scriptures.
Other Verses
Exodus 3:14, 15 KJV And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this [is] my name forever, and this [is] my memorial unto all generations.
Exodus 3:14, 15 NSB God then said to Moses: “[I exist and] I WILL BE WHO I WILL BE.” You shall say to the sons of Israel: “I WILL BE, has sent me to you.’” (Hebrew: hayah, I was, I am, I will be..gives evidence of God’s eternal existence) God, further said to Moses: “You shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘JEHOVAH, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ (JEHOVAH) THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER! This is my memorial-name to all generations.
*The use of the term I AM as a name for God was the beginning of the greatest theological deception in history. It is found at Exodus 3:14: This is where the devious conspiracy begins! The Trinitarian translators mislead the unsuspecting Bible student at the very begininng of the the Holy Scriptures. The Hebrew word that they translate “I AM WHO I AM” is “hayah.” It can be translated “am”, “have been”, “will become”, “exist”, remain”, “will be”. A far more proper translation of this word is “I WAS and I AM, and I WILL BE.” It is proof that God has an eternal existence and is responsible for all that was and is and will become. Do you see the devious conspiracy? The Trinitarian is partly right. His translation is a half-truth and therefore it could be considered by most Bible authorities as accurate.
There is no place in the Holy Scriptures where it specifically says “I AM” is God’s name. You can search for hours on end and never find it.
Colossians 2:9 KJV For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:9 NSB The fullness of divine nature lives in Christ’s bodily form. (Greek: theotes: essence and nature of God) (Only the Son of God could have divine attributes, the inherited qualities from the Father)
Hebrews 1:8 KJV But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of reighteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Hebrews 1:8 NSB But he says to the Son: “God is your throne forever and ever. (Your throne, Oh God-like one, is forever.) A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom. (Psalm 45:6, 7)
*Trinitarians would have you believe that God said to His Son that the throne of God belonged to the Son of God. Non-Trinitarians would like you to believe that the throne of God rightfully belongs to God and not to the Son of God. Again what does the context of the entire Bible tell us? God is God and Jesus is the Son of God, now at the right hand of his Heavenly Father.
2 Peter 1:1 NET From Simeon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, have been granted a faith just as precious as ours.
2 Peter 1:1 NSB Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained a precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God, and of our Savior Jesus Christ:
WESTCOTT-HORT 1881 Now read 2 Peter 1:1 from the origional Greek: “Theo's ego kai soter Iesous Christos.” “God of us and of Savior Jesus Anointed.”
The most important test you can perform to prove Trinitarian Bias is the "Context Test." Compare the verse in question to the entire context of the Holy Scriptures. Use a concordance and a powerful Bible search engine to compare the words and meaning in the verse to the many statements about the subject in question. Example:the fact that Jesus Christ is called the Son of God more than 70 times in the Greeks Scriptures is important in proving that he is not God. Especially when one of those statements comes directly from God!
It is easy to see that translators do allow their personal beliefs to influence how they translate certain words to make the words and verses hint that the Trinity is true. Your job is to find out what are the most accurate words according to the context of the verse, chapter, and the entire Biblical text!
