Do you get up every morning at the break of dawn, leaving your kids behind to go to work for someone else, who truly doesn't believe in your potential? I have a loving family of my own, and like you I got up everyday got stuck in that rut of driving back and forth to work, while neglecting the needs of my children. Unfortunately, my sons have developed problems with depression, and rebellion because I could not take the proper time to sit down and LISTEN to their needs. If only I could go back and start over. My children would not have had to grow up on their own. They were forced to be adults at the ages of 5,6 and 8 all because of the ignorance of today's "world." They didn't have anyone to lean on, because my husband and I "had to go to work" and we forced them to learn life on their own! Any wonder why the kids are the way they are today. It's the sad truth, that in today's world we are pushed into working for someone else to provide for our families.
Growing up, I had my mother home everyday, and I knew that she would be there when I needed her, (which was quite often) but that's not how it is today. Both parents are literally forced to work and to work hard to make ends meet. Doesn't reality stink?
