NBHA OHIO DISTRICT 07

Hello Everyone!!!

Attached is the show results from Circle T Arena, Shelby, OH. The show was a Great turn out, a handful of members made the trip.

Jeff, Kelly & Klay Meyer all ran at the Quarter Horse Congress last week. Jeff had some clean runs & some knocks, Klay placed 12th on paper but they only award top 10. Big sister, Kelly got another Top 10 Congress coat w/ a 10th place finish in Barrels. Another 07 youth that will be wearing a Top 10 coat this year, is Samantha Meeker, she placed 10th again in Poles. Diana Mayard made some very respectable runs, but a few poles got in her way & no medals or coat for her, bummer. None the less, District 07 is very proud of ALL its members, GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!

The Year-End Points & World Qualifiers will be coming soon!!! I'm checking & rechecking for type-o's & adding errors, I sent them to fellow member Amy Riley to double check me. Also waiting to get the "Working Point" list & "Sponsor Money" list from Heather, before I send out the Champions.

Members looking to have shows at different arenas, when you make the call to the arena, ask how much for the total Rental, what's included in the rental, tractor, drag, water wagon, PA system, restrooms, etc. Alot of places charge separate for these things, or do not have them at all. When you find one & think we should try it out, please send me the information or call me.

After meeting w/ Heather the other night, she informed me that 07 does not own their own timers. So members, keep a look out for a portable PA system & set of timers, we might need them this year depending on the arena's we go to. Also members who still have "Candy Money" / fundraiser money out, please send it to me, so we can wrap up the year.

Next NBHA meeting Nov 16, 4pm Bryan & Kelly Milligan's house. Directions will be send out, closer to the date.

In the "Director's Update" a newsletter from Georgia:
After receiving feedback from a number of directors, we have decided to re-instate to $10 non-member fee as a requirement, beginning 1-1-09.

I'm sorry, I forgot Nick Wylie in the last newsletter. I know I saw him receive a medal in the Poles, 6th place maybe. Unfortunately I don't know if placed in his other classes. I hope I didn't miss anybody else. Sorry Nick, GREAT JOB, to you too!!!!!!!!!!
