BREAST CANCER - What is Breast Cancer?
Our body is made up of many types of cells. Normally, these cells grow and divide to produce more cells when the body need them. However these cells can keep dividing even when new cells are not needed to form a mass of extra tissue called a growth or tumour. Tumours can be benign (i.e. non- cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). The most common type of breast cancer occurs in the duct lining.
