Based on Ancient Hindu beliefs, Naraya, also known as Narai, was the God sent down to earth from heaven by Shiva in order to fight evil. He was also the founder of Ayudhaya, former capital of Siam (now Thailand)

A later ancient Thai king, Rama was thought to be a reincarnation of Naraya. In the epic Thai myth Ramayana, Rama is credited with defeating the evil giants of Sri Lanka with the help of Hauman. Hauman was mightest warrior ever. His father was the wind and his mother a monkey.

Narai Intertrade Ltd. takes its name from this epic. They have named this cotton and polyster product line NaRaYa to honor Thai tradition while pioneering Thai Industry. Unlike most Asian textile manufactures, Naraya does not sub contract for large Multi-Nationals coporations.

This product is designed by Thais, made by Thais, marketed by Thais and slowly is making gains in the international market, especially Pacific Rim countries.

My Thai is the exclusive Naraya agent in the Delaware Valley.

Although this product is not hand made like most My Thai imports, we admire their vision of sustainable development.
