Rolling River Poetry--2
Welcome to Rolling River Poetry--2, unlike my main site Rolling River Poetry, here you will find sayings, quotes and poems by people other than myself.
This collection of writings has been placed in my care either through email or by friends and after some years have decided to pass them on to you the reader. I hope they will touch you as they have touched me.
God Bless, --Please send correspondence to email at bottom of page --Thank you!

This page is dedicated to my Mother, Marion Kopf, a christian woman who enjoyed writing poetry, Painting, gardening, and God's beauty in nature. She also crocheted, made greeting cards from her own poems that touched many people.
In her younger days she was active in the church sunday school and children's day programs. I can remember as a child, the front of the church looked like a spring garden, with little streams of water and white picket fences and all the children reciting their verses----I can still remember my verse to this day----- {First I thought to play a trick, but then I changed my mind real quick, just in time to say, welcome to our Children's Day}
Mom passed away in June of 1997---she lives with Dad and Jesus in His house with many mansions-------Thanks Mom!

"She Wakes"
She wakes to feel the splash of
April rain upon her face.
Her heart warms reflecting
golden rays and stirs within
her breast new life!
Tis Spring and yellow daffodils
embrace the garden wall,
where purple violets, nestled
deep within the cool, green, moss
enhance "His World" with beauty.
She awakes to silently hear the
"Voice of God" to live again and
splendor all the earth.
Rejoice! Christ is risen!

"The Purpose" ~~~(By Timothy Beckingham)
I look to the hills, our lives are changing
As the trees of Fall.
Their colors are many
But they clandestinely belong to the same mountain.
As we attribute to one body
The Spirit joins us to the universe.
The kettle is on, a kindness is brewing.
It is God’s unique and tolerant love
That molds us together
In the here and now
In his spiritual Kingdom on earth
And heaven.

"The Journey Home"~~~~By lking2048
The river of self righteousness
flows surely to lonely seas.
Lord, take me back so search I may
for weary abandoned dreams.
Longing stirred by memories,
misery too painful of a cost
remind me of my yesteryears
and faces of loved ones lost.
Lord, forgive this lowly sinner
and restore “peace of mind”
Lead me to the only path
where surely I may find
Where this life once recklessly lived,
easier must be
Enabled to see clearly now,
the tortured soul set free.
Life’s blood rushes through me
as final days draw ever near.
At journeys spent, your gentle voice
to soothe my wounded ears.
Swiftly then the flow of redemption
does meet my fevered pace.
For the journey home can only end
with Jesus’ loving embrace.

"God's Gifts"~~~~~~By Curly Raye
God gave gifts to so many,
But they're used by so few,
I never cease to see a day
When they're used by you.
Watching you put it all together,
Watching it become whole,
Then seeing you touch others,
Oh, how it moves my soul.
Yes, God gave gifts to so many,
But they're used by so few.
I feel truly blessed
That I see them everyday in YOU!

Dear Lord,
I cannot bear my pain alone;
So when it seems too much;
I call on thee within my heart
To give thy healing touch.
And always thou art near at hand,
To help me thru the night,
With guiding love to strengthen me,
So I may wake to light.
I know not why this came to me;
Your poupose I can't see,
But I believe and trust in thee,
So I know it's best for me.
You've guided me thru life thus far,
I know you're guiding now;
You've given life and answered prayer,
To you I humbly bow.

"Gifts"
I thank thee, God, for good and bad,
For all the tangled skein
Of blows that made my manhood glad,
And joys that were a pain!
Defeat I thank thee for, and strife,
For all thou didst deny,
Since he who lives the lightest life,
The darkest death must die.
And he who doth a star pursue
Both home and fire must leave,
And he who guards a life or two
A death or two must grieve.
And he who wins shall lose again,
And having lost, shall win,
Since they are strong who saw great pain,
And wise, who once knew sin!

"To Know All is to Forgive All"
If I knew you and you knew me---
If both of us could clearly see,
And with an inner sight divine
The meaning of your heart and mine,
I'm sure that we would differ less
And clasp our hands in friendliness;
Our thoughts would pleasantly agree
If I knew you and you knew me.
If I knew you and you knew me,
As each one knows his own self, we
Could look each other in the face
And see therin a truer grace.
Life has so many hidden woes,
So many thorns for every rose;
The "why" of things our hearts would see,
If I knew you and you knew me......

Thank God for you, good friend of mine,
Seldom is friendship such as thine;
How very much I wish to be
As helpful as you've been to me-
THANK GOD FOR YOU!
