Meet the Karl Family. From Left to right; Daughter Lauren, Lori,Larry and Emily ( 4 years).

Thank you for visiting the MWharriers website. The whole idea came about from the numerous duplicate emails I was receiving from M-W alumni. Taking a simple idea with limited HTML skills I've put together something I hope each of you will enjoy.

For those who do not know me my name is Larry Karl. I started running in seventh grade and kept on running. My interest in running started back at Pine Tree Elementary School. Back then I was one of the faster sprinters. After "losing" the longest run of my life, the 1/2 mile, I decided to pursue long distance running.

Entering Jr. High I joined the cross-country team and the rest as they say, is history. I started running religiously ( a little embellishment here. I knew all the short cuts. Ask Bill Martin), at the age of 12 and didn't stop until I was 35. Nowadays I run some, but spend most my time on the mountain bike, on the ski slopes or in the gym.

During my M-W days I dreamt of someday moving to Boulder, Colorado. That dream came to fruition when my employer, IBM, moved me there in 1988. It's getting a little crowded out here, but I still enjoy the beauty and quality of life.

I have been married since 1997. Lori and I have two healthy and precocious girls, Emily (3 yrs) and Lauren (11 months).
