Biography
As pop culture in the mid 80's began to change the fabric of American music once again,
Michael found himself immersed in the musical sounds of rock greats such as Eddie Van Halen and
Joe Satriani. It was from these inspiring players that he began his mission to become an
accomplished guitar player. Michael began dilligently practicing his craft, especially after
realizing that he had a natural gift for playing the guitar.
A native of Long Island, NY, Michael's introduction to the guitar was through his father. As a
child, his father would play American & Cuban folk songs, which would later have an impact on
his musical style & career. Relocating to south Florida, he futhered his studies in jazz and
classical music. In time, Michael became heavily influenced by such jazz greats as Wes Montgomery,
Joe Pass, George Benson and a host of others.
At the age of 17, Michael began his professional career playing in the venues of Key West,
Palm Beach, Ft Lauderdale, Miami's South Beach and others, as well as making his mark on
various types of music in the studio. He honed in on his Cuban roots and began to write and
perform Latin music, which unleashed his passion for Flamenco guitar. Soon after, he recorded
he recorded his solo debut "Esperando".
Currently residing in Nashville, TN, Michael is pursuing his solo career while playing and
recording with some of the biggest names in Contemporary/Smooth Jazz, Pop and Gospel music.
