Do you need advice on domestic or physical assualt
One thing that teens and women want desperatly to hear is "I love you" and the need to feel close. Although that may be the only thing they are thinking, something else should be thought about: assault. It's not just physical; but also emotional, financial, and sexual.
Here are some facts:
1 out of every 4 women are severely beaten at least once during the course of their marriage.
Each year 2000-4000 women are beaten to death by their boyfriend or husband.
Every 15 seconds a woman is battered.
Here's a question and if you answer yes to at least one, you are being abused!
Does you partner:
hit, punch, slap, kick, shove, or bite you?
threaten to hurt you or your family?
have sudden outbursts of anger or rage?
overprotective and gets jealous over anything?
prevent you from going to school or work?
destroy or sell your personal property?
force you to have sex when you don't want to?
controls all your money and spending?
insults you or your family?
Physical abuse is when your partner hurts your body.
Emotional abuse is when your partner hurts your feelings.
Financial abuse is when your partner controls your money.
Sexual abuse is when your partner hurts your body and feelings.
