Michael Jacobs, internationally renowned and award-winning photojournalist with three decades of professional experience in editorial, corporate, children and promotional photography, has had more than 10,000 images and 500 articles published worldwide. Assignments have taken him to every continent, reporting on domestic and political strife to lifestyles of the glitterati, in nearly 70 countries. During the Vietnam conflict Michael spent two years as a photojournalist and aircrewman in the U.S. Navy's elite Combat Camera Group later documenting the opening of the new South Pole Station. During his twenty years photographing the entertainment industry, he has worked on more than 200 film, television, video and music productions. With 27 years experience as an educator, he is currently teaching photojournalism at UCLA Extension and will be leading photo expeditions around the world beginning in the year 2000.
