MALCOLM BLUE
1..Malcolm Blue (died about 1800) wife Elizabeth______. He first appeared in records of Cumberland Co. NC. in 1768, when he bought land on Locks Creek from Peter Brown. This land was solt to Thomas Murphy in 1788 and 1791. In 1789 Malcolm bought 366 acres at the head of sandy Creek, touching Fox Branch, from Archibalb McLean.

2.1 John (br: bef 1755-abt 1818)
M: Margaret Lamont/Lammond. She came from Bladen Co.NC and was a daughter of Angus and Elizabeth (McCall) Lammond. Margaret is mentioned in Angus' will dated 18 mar 1815, filed in Bladen co. NC. In 1800 John transferred land to his brother, James. This land was John's share of his father's estate on Fox Branch on Goldsboro Road, 7 miles east of fayetville, Cumberland Co. NC. By the early 1800's the family had moved to Christian Co. Ky. A familier "Three Brothers" story is related in Perrin's 1884 history of Christian Co. KY. It states that brothers Neil,John and Sandy Blue went from Cumber land Co. NC to Christian Co. KY with the Galbraith family. Theses three brothers appear to be sons of John and Margaret. In 1810 census for Christian Co. and in the 1820 census Margaret appears as the head of household. Five sons and one daughter are still living with her. Their children were all baptized at Bluff Church, Wade, Cumberland Co. NC. The IGI refers to a Todd Co. KY will of John Blue which names Alexander,Archibald,Elizabeth,James,john and Neil D. The date is Oct 8, 1835, which is not consistant with this John's death date, but it may be the date of probate.
