Janet Mentgen had a huge influence on my journey as a Nurse Healer. The Healing Touch Program was developed by Janet Mentgen, who had been practicing energy based care since 1980 in Denver, Colorado. (AHNA). In 1988 Janet was honored as the holistic nurse of the year by the AHNA. She was an exciting instructor at Boulder Graduate School teaching the Holistic Nursing class. She was sensitive and inspired when she gave her knowledge and transmission of the energy world during our (what then was called) Therapeutic Touch seminars and training classes. Janet was Director of the Healing Touch Program and an integral member of the American Holistic Nurses' Association. She is a Registered Nurse and a certified healing touch practioner and instructor.
