Powerful Highway Star with nice bass opener from Roger. "that was that and this is this, story of my first wife" introduces Strange Kind Of Woman. Purple have a lovely swing to this song. "Danke Schone" "Strange Kind Of Woman - most peculiar" at the end. "Theres a thing in Ireland called the Blarney Stone""another way of dealing with this is to grease up and sit on it and wait for that little Silver Tongue" Great version. "Just goes to show what you can do with the right amount of lubricant" "Of course if you shift a little forward the result can be even more painful and less legal" prequels Knocking At Your Back Door, good solo from Steve here. "A short Tamborine Solo", a mouth organ break then into House Of Pain. "As you know its past Halloween, the central heatings on and everyones wearing overcoats" "We now have the winter duvet which is a little harder to lift with the early morning tentpole" introduces Lazy. Nice short Hammond solo from Don at the begining. "Every now and again an album has to have a title track..this is the title track..the album is called Bananas and consequently.." introduces Bananas.This song just cooks and gets better every time I hear it.Gillan tells the story of the STS107 mission prior to Contact lost, which segues into Haunted. At the beginning of Space Truckin' Ian tries to tell the audience about Kalpana Chawla who played this song as her wake up during the STS107 mission but is drowned out by Steves intro. "This all about things you become aware of on your third marriage when your 11 years old.." introduces I Got Your Number" "Stories about bespoke tailoring, sartorial elegance in the category guitar" leads us to Steves solo and The Well Dressed Guitar.
Dons Solo follows with the usual bits and bobs including Star Wars. No messing about straight into Smoke On The Water Gillan says "Its great to be back in Frankfurt" at the end of Smoke. "Now the famous tambourine solo" introduces Hush good work from Don during this, a short drum solo from Ian paice. Roger Glovers solos an intro to Black Night, Gillan sings Fever, Hit The Road Jack then the riff comes in from Roger taken over by the crowd. Great solo from Don. Steve plays a riff from Queens Bohemian Rhapsody during his solo. "Unbeliveable, Frankfurt, we love you" Wonderful to be back here in Frankfurt, take it easy we love you byebye" Good Show.
