Cuba is very unique because you have clear blue waters and then high Sierra Maestra Mountains... Cuba has been critizied because of its communist form of government. Some people can be quite ignorant for not understanding that every country is different and unique in its own way. There are good advantages of communism too. Everybody is treated equally in Cuba, and no one is favored. A doctor wouldn't recieve any special treatment than a janitor would. Everybody is important and is appreciated, which I think is excellent. But thats my personal oppinion. Cuba is a great land. It contains a very large mountain region known as the Sierra Maestra. This mountain range is located in two very important provinces; Manzanillo and Santiago de Cuba. These two provinces are ideal for travellers seeking a relaxed or adventerous vacation. Cuba is very rich in History, and tropical beauty. Every year a massive amount of travellers hit the beach in Varadero. This city is world renowned for its exquized white sandy beach(20 km penninzula) and a reflective ocean water. During my visit in October 1997 I stayed in the LTI Tuxpan Resort hotel(3+*) and in January 1999 I stayed in its sister hotel; LTI Bella Costa Resort hotel(4*). Both hotels were great(all inclusive),and the beach was very scenic. But if I had to choose one I would go with Bella Costa. The staff was very welcoming, and the facilities, were unlimited. The nightly shows were very entertaining..) But if you want to go top notch, visit the Continental Cabaret Show($25.00usd) at the Hotel Internacional nearby, you'll have a plentiful suprise.
