My name is Michael Abercrombie. I am a guitarist from Laurel Mississippi. I have lived here in this small town most of my life. I was born on December 6,1967 in San Diego, CA. I moved to Laurel when I was 2 weeks old. I can't say I remember much about the trip here. I got my first guitar when I was 9 and have loved it ever since. I have had some obsticals in my life. I can remember in high school most of my teachers couldn't stand me because I use to cut up in class. It was fun. I had been playing for about 6 years when I got an offer to play in my first band. WE SUCKED!! (sorry guys) I started getting new inspirations that fueled my fire. Guys like George Lynch, Joe Satriani, Gary Moore, Steve Vi, of course the list goes on, if you are a guitarist you know who the greats are. Even some local inspiration not so much as guitar playing, but song writing and capturing moods so tight that it soaks into the people around you. I wish I could mention their names but I think they already know who they are. There is some good talent around the Hattiesburg and Laurel area. Alot of guitarist around here sound the same. That is why I am doing my own album my own way. After 28 years as a guitarist and song writer I want to try doing an instrumental album maybe 2 or 3 tracks with vocals. Hopefully with God and my wife as my new inspiration this will turn out really good. Thanks.
