Personal Views



First thing's first, I believe that the new Presidential party will make a difference in the country of Mexico. It will be like a breath of fresh air. After so many years of having the same political party in power, and dealing with the same problems president after president. Having a new party in power and trying out their ideas would definitely be good for Mexico.

Vicente Fox seems to be an honest and decent person. He has done many good things as governor of Guanajuato. He would only need to bring those good plans to the presidency and get them to work.

It is true that he has inherit a lot of problems. But, his history as governor show that he is capable of changing Mexico. His history of being a fair person should help Mexico become a trusted place to live in. Finally his history of enforcing his ideas on the citizens should help Mexico's poverty decrease and hopefully diminish. This would also help many children continue with their education.

Overall my solution for his inherited problems would be for him to fire and rehire people holding high political office seats, such as in the department of police. In their place, he would have to place honest, trusting and committed people. These people would be responsible to put a stop to extortion, drug dealing, organized crime and kidnapping.

Mexico's Congress should also get together and create new laws similar to the U.S. laws. Laws that would hold the President, Senators, Congress and those holding high political office, who at this moment are untouchable due to their influence, responsible for crimes committed against the country. Crimes such as favoritism for high political seats, earning exaggerated amount of money, earning high bonuses for phony favors, and crimes that direclty or indirectly involve people in such office seats. Once these laws are in place and enforced, either during or after their term ends, the abuse of power will eventually end.


Mexico will have a good 6 years. People should trust Vicente Fox will be good for Mexico!!!
