The beginning of "EL PAN"
In 1934, the partido accion nacional was born. At first it was said that the party would not last. It started as a weak party. Not until 1946 is when this party started gaining strength. Manuel Gomez Morin is the person who began to make this party a stable one.
A party that will fight for the people and its well being, a party that will respect and take into account the votes of its citizens. This is a party that wants to have a clean election. El PAN is a political party that will work for the people of its country and not for personal gratification.
Victory
The new millenium brings a whole new story. Mexico dresses its country with a new colors(blue and white). For Seventyone years Mexico was run by the PRI party. (Partido Revolucionario Institucional)This is a party that did not care for its people and did not take into consideration the opinion of its citizens. It is the year 2000 and for the first time in Seventyone years another party has won the election. This paty is El Pan, Partido Accion Nacional. This election was the cleanest election in the history of Mexico. This party is run by Vicente Fox which will be the new president in Mexico.
Vicente Fox was born in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Vicente Fox is a very knowledgeable person. He is a man eager to start working for his country. He has not yet taken office but has made contanct with other countries such as Cuba, the USA, El Salvador, Honduras and some countries in Europe.
What Vicente Fox Proposes
The new president want's to stop the hunger and poverty in Mexico. He wants to create jobs for Mexican citizens and he also wants to every child to have the chance or opertunity for an education. Another goal is that he wants to cut down on personel and delete extra unnecessary bonuses. He will appoint wealthy educated people to his cabinet. He will take this strategy in order to have wealthy people who need not steal from their own country. He has appointed people who will be in this position because they are willing to work for this country.
To Become A Good President
What will make Vicente Fox a good president? For one, he has a good attitude towards people. He also puts into practice what he preaches. He said "Nobody in this country will die of hunger". He is eager to work and make a difference. He is also ready to work for a nation who has lost hope in regaining a democracy. Everyday there are hundreds of people roaming the streets and begging for money. Other do bad things, such as steal, kill, vandalize and terrorize in order to put food on the table. Perhaps things will change when citizens see that their leaders are truly working to make their country a better place to live.
Change
In order for change to happen, Vicente Fox needs to open up free trade with all competative conuntries around the world. He must bring into the country new industries to create more job opportunities. By bringing these new jobs with advanced technology,it will be very important that he educates his people. This will give Mexico the opportunity for compete with other nations. Vicente needs to open its market of minerals and arts and crafts.
Mexico needs to tax imports and goods coming in from other countries.
