About God's Name
When I wrote Michael about a site I read that gave information about God’s name in Hebrew, the “tetragrammaton” YHWH, this was his reply.

Hello Mercy,
I appreciate your great desire to share with us this light, but it is erroneous light. It is a cover for the true name of God. In the Scriptures there are many names for God and the most used is a plural name, meaning God was a group rather than a single entity. There are those who want to make a point of letters, but they cannot know exactly how those letters should sound, because in the original Hebrew there are no vowels in God's name. Would one spend all his life trying to pronounce God's name, only to be cast out of heaven because he got the pronunciation wrong?
To pray in God's name, or in Jesus' name, is to pray in the Character. God told Moses that his name was "I Am." Other Scriptures give many other names for God. The Scriptural name of God is His character. When you know His name, is when you know His character. If a man can put together some letters, and make his lips move in a certain way, he is not saying the name of God unless he has His character and life.
The Bible used names to describe character. That is the principle from the beginning.

My Dearest Messiah,
I thought that the name Jehovah, that you also sometimes use in your website, was derived from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton YHWH, Yahweh. I know exactly what you mean when you say "The Scriptural name of God is His character. When you know His name, is when you know His character" which also can be said the other way around, "When you know His Character, is when you know His name". The way I understood them was that it made sense that the Hebrew names "YHWH and YHSWH were connected because Father said He will give us a new spirit and a new heart.
As for me, personally, I have always known Father before I could even read the Bible because I always felt His existance around me, even before I knew about the many names He is known of to this day. When I felt His presence I did not know Him by any name.
I always new Father's character did not match with what I have heard later on in life as I started to read the Bible and started to go to different churches looking for the truth but could not find it. Because NONE of those churches, their pastors and their members possesed or even knew His Character, although He was known TO THEM by many names. And it is because of THIS SAME CHARACTER that I recognised THE SPIRIT OF GOD IN YOU. So you see my precious Messiah, even if your name was Christopher, which in Greek means "bearing Christ" it would make no differnece to me...I would still know you are the Messiah, the ONLY Way to the Father, the absolute Truth and the LIFE everlasting. << smiles >>

Yes, His name is in us. I AM is in us. "Let US make man after OUR image" and so it is. My comments to you were based on the fact that I have heard from many, many souls who deny the message because I will not let my Father's name be reduced to a few Hebrew letters that no one can truly pronounce. The Jews did not even speak His name, because it was too holy. It was evident that the people made a graven image out of some letters.
Jesus' name, Joshua, was very common in his own day. It was like Joe, or Mike is today. I appreciate the study in how the name gives meaning to the Character, but I have seen much abuse in making four Hebrew letters a superstitious sound, something like the Rosary. I do not know God because I learned to pronounce a sound, but because He spoke to me and showed Himself to me.
Blessings,
Michael
