FATHER FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO
WHAT EARTHLY CHURCHES DON'T TEACH YOU
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, THE FEAR OF THE LORD, THAT IS WISDOM; AND TO DEPART FROM EVIL IS UNDERSTANDING.
Isa 42:18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
Isa 42:20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
WHY DID CHRIST SAY "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."?
Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
Jesus, AT THAT TIME, told them not to go to the gentiles because "judgment MUST BEGIN at the house of God: (1Pe 4:17)", until the times of the gentiles is fulfilled (Luk 21:24).
1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Rom 11:8 (ACCORDING AS IT IS WRITTEN, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) UNTO THIS DAY. 9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall?
God forbid: but rather THROUGH THEIR FALL SALVATION IS COME UNTO THE GENTILES, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?
Rom 11:15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
Rom 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
WHY DID CHRIST APPEAR TO PAUL?
In order to shed more light through Jesus teachings we need to read Acts chapter 9.
Act 9:11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: FOR, BEHOLD, HE PRAYETH, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. 13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: 14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15 But the Lord said unto him, GO THY WAY: FOR HE IS A CHOSEN VESSER UNTO ME, TO BEAR MY NAME BEFORE THE GENTILES, AND KINGS, AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL: 16 FOR I WILL SHOW HIM HOW GREAT THINGS HE MUST SUFFER FOR MY NAME'S SAKE.
Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Jhn 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
...because if we don't receive the same bapism he has received, of water and spirit, and if we can't drink from his cup, then we can not be resurrected with him. Jesus gave us an example that we must carry our own cross if we want to sit on the right hand of God with him.
Then, in Acts chapter 26, Jesus appears to Paul
Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
In order to understand why Jesus used the word "pricks" to discribe Pauls state of mind, we need to look up the meaning of that word in a dictionary.
Pricks: To affect with a mental or emotional pang, as of sorrow or remorse. In other words, Paul was held as a prisoner "under the bondage of sin" because of the false doctrines he has received of those who were put in charge to rule over the people of God under the power of Rome. One day, when Paul was praying, Jesus heard him and made his apearence before him.
Another word we need to look up in the dictionary is the word "persecuting" in order to shed more light in Christs' sayings in the following verses.
Persecution: Afflict, torture, torment. To pursue with harassing or oppressive treatment, esp. because of religion, race, or beliefs; harass persistently.
1Cr 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Jesus words are wisdom that can only be received through the spirit that proceeds from our heavenly Father from above, wisdom that is not tought in churches made with mankinds hands. This is why Jesus kept saying "Ye must be born again from above". Not from the will of the flesh, but through the anointing of the Spirit, by the will of God. This is also the reason Christ said in (John 3:14) "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:".
Jhn 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Now that more light is shed, through the above scriptures, let us continue...
Act 26:15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 DELIVERING THEE FROM THE PEOPLE, AND FROM THE GENTILES, UNTO WHOM NOW I SEND THEE, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, THAT THEY MAY RECEIVE FORGIVINESS OF SINS, AND INHERITANCE AMONG THEM "which are sanctified by faith that is in me".
Wow! Indeed, very powerful words.
CAN YOU SEE NOW WHAT WAS PAULS MISSION THAT WAS GIVEN TO HIM BY CHRIST?
Jer 16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge IN THE DAY OF AFFLICTION, THE GENTILES SHALL COME TO THEE FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
Isa 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
Then Paul (Saul) after receiving from Jesus the purpose for his calling, Paul said to the gentiles...
Act 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, [saying], I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
and also for the Jews...
Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
...Paul (Saul) was from the tribe of Benjamin. This is why Jesus appeared to him, Paul was also one of the lost sheep of Israel, he was predestined to be "a light to the gentiles also".
Act 13:21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
Act 13:9 Then Saul, (who also [is called] Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
...he is even named after his ancestor, King Saul (Acts 13:21)
1Cr 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
WHY DID THE HIGH PRIESTS, SCRIBES & PHARISEES WANTED TO GET RID OF CHRIST AND HIS FOLLOWERS?
Isa 42:23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
Isa 42:24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? FOR THEY WOULD NOT WALK IN HIS WAYS, NEITHER WERE THEY OBEDIENT UNTO HIS LAW.
Act 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. 14 BUT YE DENIED THE HOLY ONE AND THE JUST, AND DESIRED A MURDERER TO BE GRANTED UNTO YOU; 15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
... because they chose to spare Barabbas, a robber/thief (Jhn 18:40) and a murderer (Luke 23:25), who represented their own image and likeness.
If these unbelieving Jews walked in God's ways they would have stayed in God's image and likeness, but since they chose to associate with "robbers and murderers" by denying Christ who did represent the image and likeness of God, they chose to be associated with the image and likeness of the deceiver, the devil. This is why Jesus told them, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do... (Jhn 8:44)"
This is also why Christ spoke against the high priests, scribes, and Pharisees of his time. They too denied Christs' teachings and wanted to kill him because they saw his teachings as a threat. They were affraid that if they agreed with his teachings that they would lose their high places in Rome. As it is written!
Jhn 11:45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. 46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. 47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. 48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
Jhn 11:49 And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, 50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. 51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; 52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. 53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.
They did not want their followers, who gave THEM PRAISES, to follow Christ and believe in his teachings because their pride came before God and before the good of the people. For if Christ was send by God to gather back the lost sheep of Israel from among them, they would lose their high places that they have aquired in Rome. This is why Jesus told them...
Jhn 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
1Cr 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Pro 5:1 My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding:
1Cr 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Cr 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
As for those who are still under the law, that causes them to be prisoners under the bondage of sin, like Paul was at one time, may our heavenly Father shed his glorious light that is reflected in us through the faith Christ gave us, by continuing to enlight those who are still part of the world. Through the faith Christ has given us, we stand on firm ground, that is held by the right hand of God, and no one is able to move us as long as we abide in God's ways.
1Cr 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
Most still stand on weak ground, because the religions of this world and their man made governments they chose to serve causes them to have envy, strife and divisions among them. The are not all ONE in spirit.
1Cr 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
If we walk in the light, then we need to open up the understanding of the scriptures to all who still follow man made religions and still serve man made governments that do not represent God's Kingdom, so they too can be given the chance to get out of Babylon The Great by not following after the ways of this world.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
1Jo 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
