Informal Discussions
If you’re in the locality of Leeds or surrounds, and would like to get together with some Baha’is for a chat – you’re most welcome – please contact us via email (see contact button) to hook into something happening near you. Maybe it’ll be coffee or snacks or someone’s home or your home if you prefer, Baha’is love to talk about their faith.

    Tranquillity Zones, Devotions and Prayers
Some Baha’is in the community are offering Tranquillity Zones - a way to that often elusive inner peace that seems so rare in this crowded and frenetic world. It works by creating an atmosphere in which mind, body and spirit are together soothed and made tranquil. There is no special "spiritual technique" involved, no mantra, and no specifically religious practices. It is a place where we can enjoy in a simple but dignified atmosphere of peace, serenity and well-being, some unhurried moments of contemplation and unwind – refreshed by inspiring readings and music chosen to uplift the heart, rejoice the soul, and refresh the spirit. It aims to create for each person who attends a state in which: “God shall bestow upon his heart a divine tranquillity and cause him to be of them that are at peace with themselves.” (No collections/fees)

Additionally scheduled Prayers/Devotionals are regularly held around the community to which all are welcome. (No collections/fees) Bahá’í devotional meetings and community worship serve a vital rôle in both helping the spiritual growth of the individual and creating a spiritual atmosphere for fostering love and unity within the community. The programmes are free from ritual and are normally quite simple. Prayers are offered in a devotional atmosphere. Sometimes gentle music may be used to help create a meditative or reflective state.
