The service begins with a medically supervised hospital stay for the inpatient treatment phase, on average 3-5 days. Upon admission, initial assessments of the patient's fundamental needs are accomplished. These assessments include a medical history, physical, a complete laboratory workup and a nursing assessment.
Discharge planning will be done prior to leaving the Hospital. The patient will be referred to appropriate aftercare programs. The goal of this is to ensure the proper blend of support and care for the patient upon discharge. Education and support are an essential component for the patient in learning the tools to live a life without drugs and alcohol. Continual practical methodologies are key to preventing relapse.
