Working as a Retail Manager
07/27/09 It appears that even My radio Stations DJ has gotten the same bad service. It was so bad that he commented on it in this morning show.
What has happen to Our Country We are in the middle of very rough economic times, yet We still get bad service. I would think that Managers and company owners would be looking very hard at people that support bad service. Many years ago I would have been one of those people, but I have seen that it is more rewarding to make a customer happy. Plus its less stress on me.
I can see why I set unemployed my boss became a slave to his bottom line and not to his customers. Just like the Big Box stores they are all slaves to the bottom line. Until they stop looking at it and start looking at customer We the people of the country will suffer with bad service. I challenge the BIG BOX stores to change how they hire I Challenge them to stop looking at the bottom line and look at customers. Oh they say that they have, but they know that in not true. Bring me in interview me see what I have to offer.
7/25/09 As of late I have had BAD service by the big box hardware Stores. Why do they promote their service than fall short.
One day I was getting something from one of them and I counted 8 associates slinking around the back aisle avoiding the customer. I watched two customer walk past two visiting associates neither moved to engage the customers.
This is only one instance I have seen. I could continue for weeks on all the things I have seen.
I was preached at on a daily bases about customer service so I in turn did the same with my associates. Than as a General Manager I spoke about it every day with my assistants. So I became the preacher.
